Outdoor Cooking for Every Season
Outdoor cooking is fun regardless of the season. With a rocket stove, you can cook, fry, or grill almost anywhere outdoors – whether in the garden in summer, on the terrace, or while camping in winter.
To fire up a rocket stove, you don't need much: some fuel, a safe fire pit, and the desire to cook outdoors. Thanks to its compact design, the rocket stove is easy to transport and can be used flexibly – for example, when camping, fishing, or on outdoor adventures.
How does a rocket stove work?
The name "Rocket Stove" comes from the strong airflow inside the stove. The special design creates a chimney effect, which ensures particularly efficient combustion.
Fresh air is drawn in from below, while the flames rise upwards through the combustion channel. This allows the stove to quickly reach high temperatures and is ideal for cooking, frying, or grilling.

Versatile Fuels
A great advantage of the rocket stove is its flexibility regarding fuel. It can be operated with various solid fuels, for example:
- wood pieces or small branches
- wood pellets
- charcoal or grill briquettes
- other dry biomass
Due to the efficient combustion, the fuel is used particularly sparingly. With proper operation, comparatively little smoke is also produced.

Versatile Applications
A rocket stove is a true all-rounder for outdoor cooking. It can be used as a mobile cooking station and is ideal for:
- Dutch Oven
- Cast iron pans
- Pots and pans
- Potjie or Kazan
- Grill attachments
This allows many outdoor dishes to be prepared quickly and without electricity or gas – perfect for garden kitchens, camping, or outdoor events.
The BBQ-Toro Rocket Stove Models
BBQ-Toro's rocket stoves all use the proven principle of the chimney effect and are designed for various applications.
RAKETE 1, RAKETE 2 and RAKETE 3
These compact rocket stoves are particularly mobile and ideal for camping or smaller outdoor kitchens. The draft from below efficiently burns the fuel. With suitable accessories, these models can also be used as grills.
RAKETE 4
RAKETE 4 is a larger rocket stove for garden kitchens or terraces. Its stable construction allows for versatile applications – from cooking with a pan or Dutch Oven to grilling or warming on cooler days.
RAKETE 5
RAKETE 5 consists of a modular plug-in system made of ten steel parts with 2 mm material thickness. The stove can be assembled quickly and stored compactly. This makes it particularly suitable for on-the-go, such as camping or fishing.
RAKETE 6
RAKETE 6 is a so-called cannon stove with a cylindrical design. The stove consists of a sturdy, welded steel body with removable feet. The attached cross braces provide an approximate 20 cm large support surface and ensure a secure hold for Dutch Ovens, pans, or pots.
RAKETE #7 – Rocket Stove with Grill Plate Ø 50 cm
The newer RAKETE #7 Rocket Stove significantly expands the possibilities of the rocket stove. This model is made of 2.8 mm thick steel and is equipped with a large grill plate with a 50 cm diameter.
This means the rocket stove can be used not only as a cooking station but also as a plancha grill. The large grilling surface is ideal for:
- Meat and steaks
- Vegetables
- Fish and seafood
- Burgers or fried eggs
This turns the rocket stove into a versatile outdoor cooking station for the garden, terrace, or camping.

Advantages of Rocket Stove Construction
The design of a rocket stove offers several practical advantages:
- efficient combustion of fuel
- comparatively low fuel consumption
- rapid heat development
- stable cooking surface for various pots and pans
- versatile outdoor applications
Thanks to the protected combustion channel, the fire also remains relatively wind-protected, allowing for reliable cooking even in changing weather conditions.
A Must-Have for Outdoor Enthusiasts
Whether as a mobile cooking station for camping, an outdoor stove in the garden, or a practical addition to the grill kitchen – a rocket stove opens up many possibilities for outdoor cooking.
With suitable accessories such as Dutch Oven, Potjie, Kazan, or grill plate, delicious dishes can be prepared anywhere – from hearty stews to freshly grilled steaks.
And as is often the case with outdoor cooking:
Under the open sky, it simply tastes a little better.
⚠️ Important note:
Rocket stoves may only be used outdoors and must never be operated in enclosed spaces.
