Quick One-Pan Pasta
When you need something quick, one-pot pasta is the perfect solution. With this method, all ingredients are cooked together in one pot, resulting in a particularly creamy sauce without the need for many pots or pans.
This simple pasta with broccoli and ham is on the table in about 20 minutes and is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.
Ingredients (for approx. 4 servings)
500 g pasta (cooking time approx. 7–10 minutes)
350 g cooked ham, diced
1 clove garlic
800 ml vegetable broth
150 ml milk
500 g broccoli (frozen or fresh)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
50 g cream cheese (plain or herb)
50 g freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp butter or olive oil
Preparation
1. Prepare ingredients
Peel and finely chop the garlic.
If using fresh broccoli, divide it into small florets.
2. Sauté the base
Heat butter or olive oil in a cocotte or a large pot.
Sauté the garlic briefly over medium heat until fragrant.
Then add the diced ham and sauté briefly.
3. Cook the pasta
Pour vegetable broth and milk into the pot and bring to a boil.
Add the uncooked pasta and broccoli.
Season with salt and pepper.
Simmer the pasta over medium heat for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
4. Add creaminess
Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the cream cheese.
Let it melt briefly until a creamy sauce forms.
5. Serve
Finally, stir in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Taste again and serve immediately.
