Crispy wrap cones with minced meat filling

Crispy baked wraps, filled with savory minced meat, corn, and bell peppers – easy to make and incredibly delicious. Whether as a party snack, finger food, or quick dinner: These wrap cones are guaranteed to be a hit.

Also perfect for using up leftover minced meat.


Ingredients (for approx. 8 cones)

  • 4 large wraps

  • 400 g ground beef

  • 1 red onion

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 can corn (drained)

  • 1 jar bell pepper strips (drained)

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 200 g crème fraîche

  • 200 ml vegetable broth

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp paprika powder (sweet)

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika powder (optional)

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • a pinch of chili or cayenne pepper

  • Salt & pepper

  • 1 pinch of sugar

  • fresh parsley


Preparation

1. Prepare wrap cones

Halve the wraps.
Roll them into cones and secure with toothpicks.

Lightly brush the outside with olive oil.
Bake at 180 °C top/bottom heat for approx. 8–10 minutes until crispy.

Let cool briefly, then remove toothpicks.

2. Prepare minced meat filling

Finely chop onion and garlic.
Sauté in olive oil until translucent.

Add tomato paste and roast briefly.

Add ground meat and brown until crumbly.
Season with salt, pepper, paprika powder, cumin, chili, and a pinch of sugar.

Stir in corn and bell peppers.
Deglaze with vegetable broth and simmer for a few minutes until the liquid is reduced.

Finally, stir in crème fraîche and season to a creamy consistency.

3. Fill & Serve

Fill the crispy wrap cones with the warm meat mixture.
Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.

Optional: Top with cheese, jalapeños, or a dollop of yogurt dip.


💡 Tip

  • Also possible with ground chicken or vegetarian ground meat.
  • For extra crunch, briefly gratinate with some grated cheese.
  • Also ideal from the Dutch Oven or from the Plancha.
