Raclette idea: Feta and pesto pans

Are you looking for a new raclette idea that's quick and guaranteed to impress? These feta pesto pans are the perfect alternative to classic raclette ingredients – Mediterranean, aromatic, and ready in just about 20–25 minutes.

BBQ-Toro's cast iron pans are not only suitable for raclette grills but also excellent for ovens or grills.

Ingredients (for 2 pans)

  • 1 block feta

  • 100 ml pesto of your choice (e.g., basil or rosso)

  • 1 small onion

  • ½ bell pepper

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 3 vine tomatoes

  • a little olive oil

  • optional: fresh herbs or chili flakes


Preparation

1️. Preparation

Finely dice the onion, bell pepper, and garlic.
Quarter the tomatoes.

Preheat the oven or grill to 180–200 °C.

2️. Fill the pans

Lightly grease the pans with olive oil.

Halve the feta and place one piece in each pan.
Generously spread pesto over the feta.

Sprinkle onion, bell pepper, and garlic over it.
Distribute the tomato pieces around.

Optionally season with a little pepper or chili flakes.

3️. Bake

Bake in the preheated oven or on the grill over indirect heat for about 15–20 minutes, until the feta is soft and the vegetables are lightly roasted.


Serving

Serve directly in the pan.
Fresh baguette or crispy ciabatta pairs well with it – perfect for soaking up the aromatic pesto oil.


💡 Tip:

  • Refine with olives or sun-dried tomatoes.
  • Also ideal as a side dish for grilling.
